Taja johnson: LSCWA (SHE/HER): adolescents, Adults & COUPLES Therapist
My name is Taja Johnson (she/her/hers) and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA).
As a therapist, my role is to collaborate with clients in developing the skills they need to become the best version of themselves. I work with clients from various religious backgrounds and also have the honor of working with adolescents, adults, couples and family systems----creating a safe, eclectic, and non-judgmental space for growth and healing. My specialties include anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, navigating life transitions, and interpersonal relationships.
My therapeutic approach is a person-centered and strength-based, drawing on trauma-focused and solution-focused techniques. I integrate modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Acceptance-Commitment Therapy (ACT), tailoring each session to meet the unique goals and needs of my clients. My mission is to provide compassionate support for those healing from past wounds, working to overcome problematic patterns and to empower individuals to embrace their authentic selves, cultivate resilience and move forward with confidence and purpose. If you’re in need of a supportive collaborator that can assist with direction, identification and to encourage triumph and overcome self-doubt, I would be privileged to work with you.
I currently provide telehealth and in person sessions in our Raleigh and Durham offices and work with clients aged 13+, families and couples.
I am currently in network with Medcost, Aetna, Cigna, and BCBS.
