jen chapman, lcsw (She/her): adolescents & adults therapist
My name is Jen Chapman (she/her), and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I am dedicated to helping individuals affected by trauma, including those dealing with the impact of intergenerational trauma, which may be passed down through family systems, often influencing emotional, behavioral, and relational patterns. I understand the complexity of trauma's effects on individuals and families and work with clients to address both immediate concerns and long-term healing. I work with clients to explore how past relational dynamics may influence current emotional responses and coping mechanisms. Through this lens, we will work to strengthen your sense of self and enhance your ability to form secure, healthy relationships in the present and future. Whether you're struggling with the aftermath of trauma, navigating intense emotions, or working through relational patterns, my goal is to help you feel safe, supported, and empowered as we work toward healing and growth.
My specialties include PTSD and complex trauma, attachment ruptures and the effects on interpersonal relationships, the LGBTQIA+ community, anxiety, depression, and neurodiversity, including ADHD and Autism. I take an integrative approach to therapy, tailoring my methods to best meet your needs and honoring your unique life experiences. I utilize Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), EMDR, Attachment Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and am currently completing EMDR training. These modalities are particularly helpful for clients who experience intense emotions and for those seeking to improve their ability to manage difficult situations and relationships and allows me to help clients build skills in emotional regulation, mindfulness, distress tolerance. I work with adults and adolescents ages 13+.
