THERAPY IN RALEIGH, NC
Adria Goulet, LCSw (they/them): Adolescent, Adults, and Couples therapist
My name is Adria Goulet (they/them/theirs) and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate. During sessions, I strive to meet clients where they are at in their healing process, empowering them to navigate uncomfortable emotions, maladaptive coping skills, or intrusive thoughts. I recognize that during crisis situations, harmful or self-destructive behaviors can be necessary for survival. As a therapist, my goal is to help you find new coping skills, process traumatic events, navigate oppressive systems, cultivate healthier beliefs about yourself, and build more effective interpersonal skills. I am motivated to provide a space free of judgment so that you can feel safe, validated, and supported while exploring all parts of yourself. Authenticity and vulnerability are forms of bravery, and I am honored to be a part of your healing journey.
I specialize in working with folx who struggle with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, dissociative disorders, PTSD/C-PTSD, and BPD. I am passionate about working with the LGBTQIA+ community, neurodivergent folx, as well as survivors of conversion therapy, therapeutic abuse, and the Troubled Teen Industry. During sessions, I often use aspects of Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), and Art Therapy, while utilizing an Intersectional Feminist and Health At Every Size lens. I work with individuals, families, and couples between the ages of 12+ years old virtually or in-person at the Raleigh location. I am in network with Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, Medcost, and United.
